When Osborn reveals that he knows Peter is Spider-Man, he informs him that he is keeping his secret safe. This continues to haunt Peter even after he returns home. In an empty restaurant, Peter tries to tell Osborn that he is not Spider-Man, but he sees through his lies. He reveals that after saving his son Harry, he began to gather potential candidates for the role of Spider-Man, eventually including Amadeus, Jeanne, Asha, and Peter himself. He offers his services to help him, but Peter politely declines. Osborn leaves the door open just in case and checks.
